Top 5 art shops in London

Shopping for art materials is so much fun! I'm really lucky that I live just outside of London so I have plenty of art shops close by. I normally make a special trip every few months to stock up on supplies.

Here are my favourites that I like to visit:

1. Atlantis Art Materials
Basement,  16-28 Tabernacle Street (entrance via Bonhill Street)
London, EC2A 4DD
Nearest tube station is Liverpool Street or Old Street
Has all the supplies I use regularly & it's the closest to where I live so I shop here the most often. I'm always impressed by how reasonably priced everything is too, especially their inks!

2. Shepherds inc. Falkiner Fine Papers
30 Gillingham Street, Victoria, London, SW1V 1HU
Nearest tube station is Victoria
This shop sells the most amazing range of handmade papers and bookbinding tools / materials. They used to have a shop close to Holborn station but I can't find it anymore....maybe it closed down but they have another store in Gillingham street.

3. Intaglio Printmaker
9 Playhouse Court, 62 Southwark Bridge Road, London, SE1 0AT
Nearest tube station is Elephant & Castle
You need to visit this place if you love printmaking! If you're looking for high quality, specialist tools / inks / paper this is the shop to visit. I bought my boyfriend some lino cutters & a heavy roller from here a few years ago, it was expensive but so worth it.

4. London Graphic Centre
16-18 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JL
Nearest tube station is Covent Garden
Obviously I couldn't miss this shop from my list! This is the place I go for a lot of my pens, pads & paints. I used to come here most regularly when I was a graphics student.

5. Cass Arts
67 Colebrooke Row, London, N1 8AB
Nearest tube station is Angel
Another awesome art shop & they have other stores outside of London.

Let me know if you have any of your own art shop recommendations in the comments :)
